    Hi
I’ve been able to use the built-in importer module to populate a Woocommerce site, but yesterday added 140 products which it turned out had erroneous attribute entries. I corrected them on the source Google sheet, and then tried to re-import them using the tick-box to update existing products. I got 12 ‘Invalid or duplicated SKU’ errors, & 128 ‘Invalid product’. I then tried it without ticking the box, & got 140 ‘Product with this ID already exists’, which is what I’d expect.

I’m puzzled as to how the same Google sheet that created the products can now be causing these errors – any hints appreciated.

    The sheet is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19cigpHq6fuz6GC5kegt1Ay9eL2NkT1DNlFYJaUlwaok/edit?usp=sharing

    Thanks

Update – I seem to have sorted the problem by skipping the ID when mapping columns during the import.

tbh, I’m not sure whether it’s worth having that in there anyway – I’d just done a complete site export to see if I could see anything dodgy with the products I was trying to update, & the ID nos showing on the export are nothing like the ones I had in the import file. I’ve got unique SKUs – should I just ignore the ID?

    Thanks

Brilliant! I am glad that you managed to resolve the issue. You will get the unique product IDs automatically.

That’s it, then. I’m skipping the ID column from here on in!

I would request to marked this topic as resolved.
