Importing stock numbers with variable products

AM trying to update stock via uploaded csv file. The products are primarily variable type products (shoes at different sizes). The import says it’s worked, but the stock doesn’t change on the product pages.

I’m using the format from an exported stock file which matches the required import formatting.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?
