Importing Themes….Compatibility?

    I downloaded some Parallax Scroll Templates and in the disclosure it said they are not WordPress sites….Now, I know this is an obvious question, but do all websites have to be compatible with WordPress or can I import or upload a theme from anywhere(or code one myself) and make it WordPress compatible? I thought I could, yet its giving me a partially uploaded message when I try. Mmmmany pointers? I am using FileZilla and self-hosting, I thought I could push from there too. ANy help would be great.

  • Themes must be WordPress themes to work with WP, yes. It’s not at all simple to make another type of theme or template work with WP – unless you know HTML/CSS/PHP/WP coding, not recommended.

    Thank You! There goes 3 hours trying! ?? I know HTML/CSS, Have not hit PHP/WP coding yet. (working on Javascript) I very much appreciate the quick response though.
