Importing your own pages
-
I’m sure I’m just being the newbie here and asking something that I should be able to spot in the documentation; so I don’t mind at all just being referred to a relevant section!
Now, as far as I’d understood, you can use wordpress as a CMS for a site you’ve already built using good old fashioned html script? And then just add
<?php /* Template Name: “page title”
*/ ?>
to the top of each document, save it as a php-file, upload it to the themes folder and then use it as the theme for the page in question. Thus giving what looks just like the site as it was before, only now you can edit it without going all the roundabout of the FTP.However, this of course isn’t working for me, so I’d just like to throw out the question if a) it’s possible at all, and b) how to go about it/where to find the info on how to go about it.
Thanks in advance for any pointers!
