Impossible to add the language. HELP PLEASE!

  • Hello everyone,

    It looks like a really bad start for me… i have just activate the plugin on my wordpress template “Avada”. I went directly to the setting and started adding a few languages, but each time i try to do so i have a “Impossible to add the language.” popping in red at the top of my page!

    Does anyone know why and how i could fix it? Polylang seems like a great plugin so i thought i’ll try to fix the issues before deactivating it!

    Hopefully this will be usefull to someelse too!

    This error message means that Polylang could not write to the database.
    Something has corrupted your database and you need to repair it.

    1) Switch on a default theme as Twenty Sixteen, deactivate your plugins (except Polylang).

    2) Then repair your database: you need to check only the wp_terms and wp_terms_taxonomy tables then choose “repair table” (for the PhPmyAdmin) thanks the “With select:” dropdown.

    3) Try to add your language.

    4) If it works you can switch on your theme and activate your plugins.

    You need to use at least the 3.9.3 version of Avada. This version has fixed an incompability with Polylang.
