Is there a way to allow users to CLICK on LINKS in the PDF? I am seeing that the cursor is always in ZOOM mode, so any click either zooms in or out, preventing any clicks/links in my PDF. Is there a way to disable that mode?

  • i too am interested in being able to click on links placed in the pdf.

@tzeldin88 have you added links to your pdf using FlowPaper Desktop Publisher? if so, how did you manage to place the pdf in your WordPress (i get an entire folder to upload after editing a pdf with the desktop app)

also, when i view the pdf on the browser (or its html5 version) all clicked links open a new browser tab/window: is it possible to open the link in the same window, or to specify the link target to, say, open the resource in a frame in the same window?

@maxgx I am using dFlip instead (https://codecanyon.net/item/dflip-flipbook-wordpress-plugin/16408847). I think it’s much better for my needs.

many thanks for the tip, @tzeldin88

i’ve evaluated flipbuilder.com ‘s desktop app instead, and apart from the usual choice of link targets (_blank, _self, _top, _parent) it allows me to add javascript to the links, which is perfect for what i need.

FlowPaper from version 3.2.3 supports link target settings and the free version supports clicking links without zooming in.

When I looked at FlowPaper (free, not sure what version, but only a few weeks ago), any click on the embedded pdf just zoomed in, so I couldn’t click on any links in the PDF. Sounds like that problem has been addressed, yes?

phew, that felt like i missed a taser dart… ??
