    Hello there!
    I’m having a problem with the plugin. This morning I’ve tried to login and the system didn’t give me any clue when hitting Log-in button then after 5 times I got the Defender error that I was blocked out.
    I’e tried to disable different plugins from cPanel and at the end I’ve found Defender to be the culprit as when I disable it I can login with no problems.

    I’ve tried to completely remove the plugin and reset the settings and starting from scratch but it continues to block me. Now it is disabled but I’d like to have it back on as it is very helpful.

    All this happened with no input by me, as yesterday it was working.

    Can you please help me?

    Thank you for the information.

    I made some extra tests and it is maybe related to a weak password.

    I created some users to attempt the different logins, for the user that had a weak password is returning:

    “INSECURE PASSWORD: Your login attempt has been blocked because the password you are using exists on lists of passwords leaked in data breaches. Attackers use such lists to break into sites and install malicious code. Please reset your password to reactivate your account. Learn More
    2 login attempts remaining”

    In my case, it returned the warning and after some attempts, I got locked out.

    If something is blocking the message to show up would explain the problem on your end.

    Could you please try to reset your password temporarily using the auto-generated WordPress password which should generate a safe password, then try the login again with both plugins enabled?

    I’ve tried to change the password but it doesn’t work either.

    No problem. I’ll keep the masking feature off.
