• Hi,

I changed the capacities parameters in the Changer of Extension capacities section, and now i can’t reset user Roles and can not at all use the plugin, i dont have even the drop down menu in the left sidebar WP back office. When i go in the plugin setup always the same message ” You do not have permission to access this page. “

I try to uninstall and re-install the plugin, i try to reset with all user role, I changed all user role permissions to allow them to manage plugin in order to reset them, but nothing works …

Is it a way to fix that ?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi chavaroche,

    Thank you for your feedback.
First of all, please refer to below link how to reset customize settings on WP Admin UI Customize.
    https://wpadminuicustomize.com/blog/reset_settings/

And, I think cause of your problem is maybe,

    • You can not permission(capability)
    • Wrong the different URL

If you can not permission, I think it is not problem to WP Admin UI Customize.
Please check to permission customize plugin.

    Thanks,

    Hi gqevu6bsiz,
Thank you for this quick answer,

I already changed permission with user role editor.

What do you mean with Wrong the different URL ?

There is no way to manually reset files modified by WP Admin UI Customize ? Which modified files stay after the plugin uninstallation ?

    Thank you

    Thank you for your reply.

First of all, could you possible to access the settings screen on User Role Editor with Administrator?
If yes, you can change or re-settings the user role capabilities(permission).
If no, maybe your Administrator account is not have need capability and please contact to User Role Editor developer for about the how to reset user role capabilities.

Reset customize for WP Admin UI Customize, please read on the document.
If uninstall and deactivate the WP Admin UI Customize, customize data is not delete. Please manually reset with access the customize reset settings page or bottom on per customize page on WP Admin UI Customize.

For about the Wrong the different URL, this mean is that is different the access URL.
    e.g.)
    correctly URL: https://example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_admin_ui_customize_reset_userrole
    wrong URL: https://example.com/wp-admin/wp_admin_ui_customize_reset_userrole

Thank you for your reply and check.
I think you can’t only the WP Admin UI Customize, this mean is maybe you don’t have need capability for WP Admin UI Customize.

There is a way to edit the files that remain after uninstalling the plugin ?

This way is not recommended because you can’t again WP Admin UI Customize when update the plugin.

WP Admin UI Customize is need default capability is ‘manage_options’.
If you did edit it capability, please change the edit possible capability.
WP Admin UI Customize edit capability screen: wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_admin_ui_customize_plugin_cap

If you can’t access the edit capability screen, please try to once add code on functions.php of your theme, this code is delete the plugin capability setting of WP Admin UI Customize.
    delete_option( 'wauc_plugin_cap' );

    Thanks,
    gqevu6bsiz
