    Hi there,

Since Yoast v 14.8, I saw that several assessments added for Bahasa Indonesia, including passive voice. Thanks for this addition.

Basically, passive voice in Bahasa Indonesia is prefixed by the word “di” or “ter” before the verb. The passive voice formula is “di/ter + verb”, both word must be put together. For example, di + makan (verb) = dimakan, “Roti dimakan kucing”. In this case, “di” acts as prefix.

In particular for the word “di”, apart from functioning as a prefix for passive verb, it can also be a preposition that states a place. The difference is in the writing. As preposition the word “di” is separated from it’s following word. For example, “Saya tinggal di Jakarta”, “di” serves as a preposition.

I see that Yoast does not distinguish between these two things. Yoast still counts the “di” as a preposition like “di” as a prefix of passive verb, and count it into the percentage of the passive sentence parameter.

I think you should make some update for this issue.

    Hopefully useful.

    Regards
    Edi
