Subject: Improvements for Managing New Entries and Tracking Shortcodes in the Extension
Hi Patrick,
I wanted to share some feedback regarding how new entries are displayed in the database under WordPress via the extension.
1?? Refreshing and Sorting New Entries
Currently, when a new entry is added, it only appears after a full content refresh. However, the order of these entries seems random, making organization difficult.
?? Suggestion:
- Capture the creation date of each entry as soon as it appears in the table.
- Allow sorting by creation date so that the most recent entries are displayed first.
- This would make it easier to manage large numbers of pages and prevent scattered display issues.
2?? Tracking Shortcode Usage
I also noticed that auto-updates are not working, but this isn’t a major issue for me. However, having a small indicator to confirm that a shortcode has been copied and used would be very helpful.
?? Suggestion:
- Add a checkbox to mark a shortcode as “processed” or “used.”
- Implement a status system with multiple options (e.g., “To Process,” “Used,” “To Review”) to better organize shortcode tracking.
- This would enable intelligent filtering, allowing users to focus only on shortcodes that still need to be handled.
These improvements would greatly enhance content management, especially for databases with hundreds of pages.
Let me know your thoughts on this and whether it would be feasible!
Best,
Lily From WPDistrib
