Improving defer parsing issue – adding “Script to footer” plugin?

    –It is the follow up question to my previous one–

    To improve the defer parsing of javascript score, I added Script to footer plugin.

    Upon activating it the website link howtolookpretty.com is changed to –>
    https://www.howtolookpretty.com/…/unauthenticated/index.html”

    The plugin has currently been deleted but if you you can suggest alternative solution on improving “defer parsing of javascript” it will be very much appreciated!

  • You don’t need extra plugins for moving javascript to footer as Swift does it automatically. But it seems that you have some redirection issues on your site, as well:

    Hi! the plugin is working fine and improved my site a lot.
    I have a question, Pagespeed tells me “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” what should I do? moving javascript to footer is automatic with Swift or should I enable something?

    Forget it. Those are just recommendations and not rules from those speed checking tools and Swift is doing all that is needed to be done, so you can skip it. Just take care of the site’s real speed to visitors and if you are satisfied with it – seek no more.

    Thank you Ivica!! My site is indeed fast enough, I leave non optimized the only things I can′t optimize, as the scaled by CSS pics from Instagram in a widget. Sometimes I don′t know if something is needed or not. Thank you for such a quick answer!!
