In a long tail phrase what exact words will call out my post on the SERP?

Now that I’m very much into the SEO stuff, this question’s been making me feel unsure on how to search for keywords.

For instance, if I’ve got this title: “10 tips to better manage your social media strategy” and then choose (social media estrategy) as the keyword.

So, what are the possibilities for this post to show up when a searcher types: (manage social media), (media strategy), or (social strategy)???

Sometimes I notice some of my competitor rank for keywords that don’t match my quesry exactly. Thus, the question to place is, what keyword matching option is truly working on search engines? Is it broad or exact match?
