I want to use an image in the place of text for some of the links in my blogroll… how do I go about this?

I went to Links >> Add New and tried to use the <img src="the image address"> code, tried to use <a href="blah"><img src="the image address" /></a> code… nothing seems to be working. The link is created as being the code itself…

Is this not possible, or am I just over-looking something?

  • Where are you putting this code? On the Links >> Add New page scroll down to the bottom to find the “Advanced” box. If that isn’t there, then at the top of the screen click the “Screen Options” tab and make sure the “Advanced” box is checked.

Now, in the advanced box, enter the image address where it asks. NOT the code, just the URL for the image, so like

    https://s.www.ads-software.com/style/images/wordpress-logo.png

    Simple as that.

Hmm… I’d tried that a couple of times, but it never seemed to do anything. Finally did this time.

No idea what the difference was, but that’s exactly what I needed to know. Thanks!

I’m having the same problem. I’ve used this feature before on other sites, but this time my images are not showing up.

I’m having the same problem. I inserted an image url on the “advanced” module for a blogroll link and the image is not showing. Only the text on the link shows. Can you help?

    my blog is franciscokattan.wordpress.com

the image link I added is:
