As found in the Noonkan post of December 17th, Elementor in localhost works for a certain timeout then requests the connection. How can this be avoided? Since the timeout is very short, if I work on the site in locahost today, after 24/48 hours it requests the connection again with the cUrl error and so on.

    Hi there,

To better understand and assist you, could you please share details of the issue with screenshots or a screen recording? You can use tools like loom.com for this.

    For troubleshooting, consider these steps:

    – This might also be related to your local server settings. You can check your local server settings for timeout configuration and verify how you local server manages sessions as, if sessions are expiring too quickly, it could trigger connection requests.
    – Double-check your local server setup to ensure it’s properly configured to handle long-duration sessions and connections.
    – Clear your browser cache and cookies regularly. Sometimes, stale cache or cookies can lead to unexpected behavior.
    – Ensure you are using the latest version of Elementor, as updates may include bug fixes and improvements.
    – Check if your local firewall or antivirus software is affecting the connection. Temporarily disabling them for testing purposes can help identify any interference.

    I hope these help.

    Kind regards,

Up until version 3.17.3 I was able to work locally without being connected to the Internet with Elementor in WordPress. From version 3.18.0 no longer, because if I am not connected to the Internet it gives me the following error: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: my.elementor.com If I go back to version 3.17.3 it works.

    Hi, @fulmine22.

I recommend checking your DNS settings, as the cURL 6 error is typically related to the DNS. Also, check that the WordPress URL and Site URL match and that both reflect the correct URL (WP > Settings > General).

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info I checked everything and it seems fine to me. If I go back to version 3.17.3 everything works fine in localhost. If I update to version 3.18.0 and later I have the cURL 6 problem.

    Hi, @fulmine22.

Thanks for the reply. Just in case, we tested on our end using Local WP without an internet connection, and Elementor version 3.19. Everything appeared to work correctly: the editor worked, the widgets loaded and we did not encounter any cURL 6 errors.

We did experience issues with some widgets not working, but these were widgets that required an internet connection to work properly, such as Google Maps, which is to be expected.

We recommend that you try using a different browser to rule out the possibility of a conflict with a browser extension. If that doesn’t help, try using a different local hosting platform, such as Local WP. If it still doesn’t work, this indicates the issue is likely on your server. If this is the case, it would be beyond our support scope.

Just in case, if the issue persists please provide screenshots or a screencast demonstrating the exact issue you’re experiencing so we can better understand what is happening on your end and so that we can try to reproduce it on our end.

    Kind Regards.

    OK thank you.

The problem was resolved by updating to version 3.19.

All version 3.18 gave me cURL 6 error.
