• I am dealing with a problem I hope someone here can help me with.

I came online Monday morning to find that all the ads (from various networks) were missing from the front page of my blog only. After 2 days of testing I am sure the error is either on my end or my server.

I changed theme and the problem persists. I attempted to ad coding to header.php the ad would not show on the front page. Now ads do show up from time to time and this is occurring on all major browsers and mobile browsers.

Like many of you, my ads pay the bills. Can anyone think of anything that could make the front page all of a sudden not accept the ads all the time?

I tried to keep this brief but earlier I tested out other ads and they did show up, but when I tried again later tonight they would not. I also discovered search pages also don’t show the ads. Lastly, for a brief period even the ads on the post pages (single.php) vanished.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end.

Oh, and one other thing. When I attempted to post an article on Monday it did not show up on the front page. I called my host and they did something, not sure what, but my article eventually showed up on the front page. The ads did not however. I’m thinking these 2 things must be related

As for that video link? Did you see that code on my site? Maybe it was a part of some ad. I have no idea what it is. I didn’t have any videos on my front page.

I have the original code when you loaded the twentyten theme. There are several videos. One loaded with an iframe using NBC Video Widget. There are 3 you tube embed with an iframe. There is one flash from https://c.brightcove.com. And there is one from https://www.wetv.com/

They were all videos about the person you were writing about.

Oh that must be the Meagan Good article. It shows fine to me.

Anyway, I have switched my theme back because Liquid Web said they are sure the theme(s) aren’t the problem.

They have also wiped their hands of the situation, saying it is out of the realm of what they do.

Were the ads only screwing up in one place, I would at least know where to begin. But because the problem is so vast and keeps changing, I am lost.

I started a test blog and had some really weird finding using my custom theme. Last night all the ads showed up excepted the leadeboard at the top. This morning I was finally able to get all the ads to show up and then when I closed down my text editor (html kit) all the ads vanished.

Could some settings in html kit be the issue? I have been using it forever.

The problem as it turned out was the ad codes.
The issue isn’t fully worked out, but with new ad codes I was able to get most of the ads back up and running.

Thank you and kmessinger for doing all you could to help me ??

I hope there is still someone here willing to help me.

I think I have made some sort of breakthrough and unfortunately a set back all at the same time

Earler kmessinger mentioned my “Interviews” page and not being able to see it. I decided to mess around with its settings and by setting the “Template” under “Page Attributes” to “Homepage” I was able to make it look and behave just like my front page- ads showing perfectly.

Now I am using a magazine style theme that requires me to use a static page I created called “Home.” So I went to look at the “Home” page’s settings and realized it was set to “Default Template.” So I changed it to “Home Page” and well, it didn’t work out the same way as the “Interviews” page did. It continued to display my messed up home page- the one where you see all those Google Adsense ads. Even worse, my secondary pages that were showing the correct ads are now showing the google ads as well.

I attempted to return all setting as they were but to no avail. Long story short, the page settings or something along that area is the culprit here.

If anyone has any info that could help me I would appreciate it.

By the way, this is what my homepage should look like.

    PERFECTO

This is not what it should look like

Deactivating and reactivating my theme fixed the issue of the ads on the secondary page. They are back to showing properly.

My site appears to display fine on my mobile device. Here is a link to the pic. Notice the front page is showing Covergirl ads- as it should, not Adsense ads.

Can’t explain it, the home page settings are what is messing up the ads.

Ran similar test on brownsista.com/blog and when I changed the “Home” pages template, the ads last night became Adsense ads.
