I’m using /%postname%.html structure of permalinks.
For next pages of mainpage WordPress setting such link: https://site.com/page/2
For this page plugin set canonical URL
https://site.com/page/2/
So, canonical URL refer to https://site.com/page/2/ but WordPress redirect it to https://site.com/page/2 and again.
