In Quick Edit under Posts, I cannot change Status from Published to Draft

  • When the post is private, meaning the checkbox for Private is enabled, I cannot change the status of a Post from Published to Draft. When I tried this, and then pushed the save button, it acted as though it was saving when in fact it reverted back to the original state of being Private and Published.

    Is this a bug?

    As of WordPress 3.1, this is still an issue.

    To perform this action, create a new post, mark it as private, and publish it. Once the post is created, go to the list of posts page where you see all posts you have created in a list. Hover over the post you want to mark as draft, slick on the “Quick Edit” link, and try to change Status from Published to Draft. If you try saving it, it will still be Published.
