in version 2.0.5 now slider in content but even in footer very often don’t auto-slide, i have to give a mouse or touch drag and then it runs, when i change the tab and come back to my side > auto slide didn’t run… i testet firefox, chrome, opera & opera next

may be this is the reason “now load using ‘$(document).ready’ instead of ‘$(window).load'”

i don’t know, but i know that this version is useless for me, although i like your plugin

    best regards, niluxx

Yes, thanks for bringing this to my attention, I can replicate the issue within my browser.

ok, apparently this is a known issue with Owl Carousel 2, as can be seen here:
    https://github.com/OwlCarousel2/OwlCarousel2/issues/1426
    https://github.com/OwlCarousel2/OwlCarousel2/issues/1674
    https://github.com/OwlCarousel2/OwlCarousel2/issues/1748

I will dig around and try find a solution ASAP for the next patch.

Ok, I’ve been digging into this, and to summarise:
    – Autoplay does work when the page loads
    – But if you change browser tab, switch to another application and then come back to the browser tab, then Autoplay freezes – and is only restarted when you interact with the slider (i.e. moving to the prev/next slide or dragging the slider left/right)
    – Owl Carousel have been made aware of this issue – there are numerous recent issues on Github about this problem
    – They have not implemented a solution yet within their latest Owl Carousel release, which is version 2.2.1 – this is the version that I’m currently using for Slide Anything
    – Hopefully Owl Carousel 2.2.2 will fix this bug and as soon as this version is released I will use it within Slide Anything.

    hi,

yes it is a sporadic issue, sometimes auto slide runs, but sometimes not, then i have to interact (give him a drag – prev/next slide) and it runs,

and everytime i change the tab in my browser and then came back to my site -> auto slide won’t run, i have to give him a drag/interact …

now, the new version is better, mostly auto slide runs, but not if i change the the tab and came back to site… it stands still, but i can live with that for a while…

also it seems to me that the slider now costs a little of my pagespeed, but thats only my feeling.. now the sliders will come in the url “…./#slider_37798_slide02”

and yet, your plugin is very well thought through!!!

actually my issue is solved, so i will closed this thread but please stay tuned, it is a strong plugin!
