    Hello @shortsrealty

    Templates and pages are different.
Templates will not be shown under Dashboard Pages, but it can be assigned to a page.
To access and edit templates, you can go to your Dashboard Appearance -> Editor and it will load site editor where you can edit all your templates.

Please check these articles about accessing site editor and assigning a template :

    https://gutenverse.com/docs/using-wordpress-full-site-editor/

    https://gutenverse.com/docs/how-to-assign-custom-template-to-a-page/

If you still have any question, please let me know.

Your instructions have not resolved the issue. Using the editor I can see templates however, the template that is live and accessible by going to https://www.shortsrealtors.com is not showing up within the other templates. Further, I created a new page/template and the name of that page does show up in the editor but the template/page associated with it is not accessible.

There appears to be a major issue which is not being properly addressed.

    Kindly assist.

hi @shortsrealty, if you using older themes, you may remember when you create a page, you will need to choose template.

its actually the same concept as block themes (as you using right now). you will need to assign template to a page. for example if you want to create about (on restance template), you will need to create page, than choose “about” template.

on old wordpress template, you don’t have ability to directly edit (wysiwyg) the tempate, but now you can. you can go to Appearance -> Editor. and you can edit your template.

i understand the confusion about this method. but its how the WordPress work with block themes. you will just need to get the grasp about how WordPress work with block themes and trust me, it will pay off in long run because it is the future of WordPress.

if you have another question, just let us know. we will gladly give you direction about how new block themes & gutenberg work.

    Thank you

I am having the same issue. I have edited the template in Appearance > Editor, but I cannot find a way to save that template and apply it to a page.

That edited template does show up as my front page though, even without a page created for it.

In addition, I cannot figure out how to copy and paste a section between pages.

At this point, I am going to have to manually make all the changes to my header and footer on every page. Which makes having a builder pointless.

Template parts do the same thing, but even more convoluted.

I have saved a new header and navigation as a template part.

I can then go to another page, and edit the template, and swap out for the edited version, which shows in preview, but as soon as I save and back out of the editor, no changes have been made. But if I go back into the editor, the changes are there.

    Hello @sliquid

The concept in WordPress full site editing is like this, some templates will be assigned automatically and you can’t assign them manually to pages.
Some example of these templates are front page, 404, search, archive, page, single.
This is why when you’re trying to assign those templates, you will not find them under templates selection in page editor because they already assigned automatically. You will only find custom templates such as about, contact, projects, etc.

To copy a section, you can click on the section toolbar and click on three dots and click copy. Then on the other page, add a paragraph block then paste the section block you just copy.
Here is a screenshot of how to copy block : https://ibb.co/Yj5ns3T

About the template part, could you send me a screenshot of the difference between the template part inside editor and on the preview?

    Thank you.
