Please navigate to the Table of Contents settings admin page and disable the Smooth Scroll option. The page is changing heights as the images are lazy loaded causing the positioning of the smooth scroll to the heading to become invalid as the images load.

    Got it, Steven.

Any way to keep the Heading Offset when I turn the Smooth Scroll off? I have a sticky header up top.

Also, it’d be really cool if there’s an option to place the TOC at two places (like top AND bottom) in a post.

Sorry, no, both features use the same library to handle scrolling to the correct position. Which can not be done reliably if the page height changes due to elements lazy loading.

I am planning on adding options to display a link for the heading before the heading text and an option to display a return to TOC after the heading text. That should be better than displaying the TOC on the page multiple times by allowing the user to jump back and forth quickly and easily.

Got it. Looking forward to the new options. For now, I use bottom placement, that way the page is always fully loaded when a reader sees the TOC. Hope you’d let a flexible label option for the “return to TOC” option.

    Thanks again, Steven.

Not sure exactly yet. I want to lean towards an icon like an up arrow.

That’s actually even better, Steven. Icons are a great idea.

Hi Steven, I am facing the same issue. I use Elementor and when I activated the ezTOC plugin, it shows but when I clicked it, it jump to the description rather than jumping to the header that I clicked. Please help me. I have disabled the smooth scroll option like you said. But still, the problem occurs.
