Inactive Widget Page In Dashboard

  • Kind of an unusual situation, my widgets page is dead, can’t drag and drop, can open my screen options, total navigation and functionality is dead. This is only occurring in the back end, dashboard area.

    I can’t think what would cause it, has anyone experienced this type of thing anywhere else?

  • Never. Usually it’s javascript conflict between the plugins, try disable all of them then turn them back on one by one until you can find the culprit.

    Same problem and worse – the media uploaded doesn’t now load and I’ve disabled all plugins, swapped themes all to no avail.

    The whole of the menu system of WP 3.5.1 is crocked- flyouts don’t work properly etc etc.

    I’m tempted to replace the core files from a known working installation…. in fact thats what I will do after backing up.

    Amazed so few reports of this.

    I will try that, I do know certain plugins have been acting up across many of my wordpress installs.

    No, that did nothing, guess I’ll need to try what the other poster suggested. It’s a drag because it’s a new installation and I’m trying to design it.

    Weired, never had this problem. Have you tried using a different browser? Or clear the browser cache?

    “LambertGroup – Ken Burns Sliders Full Collection” ,disabled the plugin and everything works again ??

    I only have 3 plugins activated, is it a java script issue? It’s not working on any browser from any computer.

    So I went ahead and overwrote everything except my css and images, etc. Back to normal, something was askew somewhere but unfortunately I can’t pinpoint which file. So I guess, when in doubt, re-install.
