    Hi,

Is it possible to include the options table?

All my content added through an options table are not indexed, and this is what ACF support said:

“ACF field values are not searchable by default which could suggest that the search plugins that you are using are only querying values in the posts and postmeta table. Options field values on the other hand are saved on the options table and thus I can suggest that you get in touch with the author of ACF better search so that they can advise on how to extend the search to the options table.”

    Thank you

    Hi @schalkjoubert,

    Thank you for your message.

The field values in the wp_options table are global, assigned to the site, not to a specific post, so there is no logical possibility to associate them with any post and include it in the search.

    Hi,
Thank you. Not what i wanted to hear, but it makes sense.
Just one more question; This page is created with the acf and wp_options table.

since it can’t be indexed with wp_search, does it also mean it won’t be indexed by search engines?

    Thank you

    Hi @schalkjoubert,

Search engines like Google go to the URL and takes the source of website. The plugin searches for content in the database. These are two completely different issues.
