Include shipping when applying gift card for a fixed amount

  • Hello,
    Is it possible to apply a gift card for a fixed amount to an order including shipping?
    For example a customer places an order for 35 euro including tax and shipping (where the value of product is 29.50 and the shipping is 5.50) and the customer has a gift card for 30 euro. I want to charge the customer 5 euro including tax.
    My first attempt seemed to work ok (the total to be paid was correct in the online thank you page and the email confirmation), but the tax was incorrect … the value shown was the original amount before the discount.
    My second attempt, using the filter yith_ywgc_recalculate_taxes_after_cart_total, also gave the correct total and in the online thank you page also the correct tax amount. However in the email confirmation the tax was incorrect … the shipping tax amount was added to correct amount shown on the thank you page.
    Any suggestions?
