Included in excerpt

    My Popular Posts and Recent Posts widgets include short excerpts from the blog post. All of them (except one showing a Table of Contents issue) are including the number of shares in the excerpt from the page crawl. My theme support is not assisting because the issue only happens when Sassy Social Share is activated. Can you help me find a way to prevent the shares from being included in the excerpt on the sidebar and footer widgets? Thanks!

    I am afraid but it’s something wrong with the theme you are using. As you can see the “Recent posts” section in the footer at the page https://takingitbreezy.com/how-to-respond-to-compliments-like-a-boss-babe/ is showing “Table of contents” too from the same page. Technically, it also should not be there in the excerpt. You should be seeking support from your theme dev.

    Thank you. I thought the same thing, but thought it was worth checking.
    If it were just this plugin that was showing up in the excerpts (10 shares), would you have a recommendation for how to adjust it on your end? Or is it an issue with the sidebar widget plugin exclusively (that was built by the theme)?

    It’s something related to the the code of the sidebar widget plugin.
