Incoming links

  • I noticed the incoming links feature recently on my dashboard page. Here’s the issue: I’ve placed links to my blog elsewhere, even on other non-WP blogs, such as my LJ, and they NEVER show up in the “incoming links” box. I know people follow them, so that’s not the problem.

    This week, a friend placed a link to my blog in her non-WP blog (LJ) and it showed up under “incoming links” right away. What gives? Could there be other links out there not showing up?

  • I would almost guarentee it. If all links back to your blog made it in there you would have a stats plugin! All kidding aside though, I don’t know what the criteria is that gets the links in the dashboard (something I would like to know as well), but it has to be selective for the reason that I mentioned above.

    the secret to the links is technorati .. thats where that links code goes out to.

    If technorati finds the link youre good, if not oh well, you wont see it.

    Look at where the More link goes..thats the first clue ??
