• I recently installed your plugin on 5 WordPress sites that are hosted with ipage.

Since activating the plugin I am having problems with JETPACK connectivity on all 5 sites. I even lost significant site content because of this, and am currently having to do a total site restore at https://www.victoriavane.com

I have been troubel shooting with wordpress, jetpack and i-page. The I page support team just sent me this message:

    Hello Victoria,
I could see that you have installed the plug-in ‘All In One WP Security’ in WordPress dashboard. This plug-in added .htaccess file to root directory with some rewrite rules defined in it. These rewrite rules are not compatible with Jetpack plug-in. So, you had received error message while connecting to Jetpack. You have already contacted our phone support and we emailed you issue causing .htaccess script in the ticket 13716618. Currently, .htaccess code added by the plug-in All In One WP Security’ is disabled. Now, you should be able to connect to Jetpack from your end. In order to use Jetpack plug-in, you may need to disable the plug-in ‘All In One WP Security’. If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.

Your plugin was listed as tested/compatible. Please help as I have already had issues with hackers and need security.

Hi Victoria, sorry to hear you have had a few issues with this plugin and Jetpack plugin. There are some settings in this plugin that you won’t be able to enable because they will cause the issues you have experienced so far.

Can you share the exact error messages you receive when both plugins are enabled?

Can you also share which plugins in Jetpack you are currently using?

Also can you disable all firewall rules and carry out a test?

    Regards

    Hi there,

having the same problem with some other WP-sites. Is there any solution?

Hi Dirk can you check the log files and report back any findings?

    SuperSmart,
Which firewall rules do you have enabled?
Have you tried disabling all firewall rules and checking if the problem goes away?
If the problem disappears after disabling the firewall rules you should then try enabling one firewall rule at a time until you find the one causing the issue.
