• Hello, me again. I have been wrangling with WordPress for the last month trying to understand why I was receiving the “unexpected error” page whenever I tried to edit a post, and it seems I’ve finally found the answer (possibly–I don’t actually know what I’m doing): is there an incompatibility between the Sunset Core plugin and the Gutenberg block editor?

I went through quite a lot of ham-fisted attempts at figuring out the issue. Reverting to the Classic Editor finally allowed me to edit posts (published posts as well as drafts), and from there I got to toying with the theme. While the theme itself works fine and doesn’t pose any issues to accessing the editing page, when I activate the Sunset Core plugin, I receive the “unexpected error” message. When I deactivate the plugin, the Gutenberg editor works again.

    Hey @msmanatee13!

You’re right, the Sunset Core plugin caused that bug. I didn’t update it for quite a long time, and was planning to close it. But since someone is still using it, I’ve made some fixes ??

So now you should be able to edit posts in the Gutenberg editor. Please update the plugin and let me know if it works for you.

    Best regards!
