Hopefully this will help some others…

Just to say I had a strange issue on a web site that has been using WP Super Cache for many years without issues however no matter what version of WordPress and WP Super Cache I tried cached files were randomly deleted from the cache despite disabling / changing garbage collection times etc.

Long story short, I tracked the issue down to the Jetpack ‘Related Posts’ module and as soon as I disabled that (not sure I actually activated it…) everything is working as normal again.

Spoke too soon – looks like it’s an issue with GET requests:

Supercache caching disabled. Only using wp-cache. Non empty GET request.

Did the ignore specific XXXX GET requests code I read about in some old posts (12 months plus) ever make it into any WP Super Cache version?

    Thanks
