Incompatibility with NextGEN Gallery Plugin

    I am using Photocrati NextGEN version 2.0.66.37 and Photocrati NextGEN Plus version 1.1.3

    Whenever the comments icon is clicked within the gallery images to display comments, the gallery crashes. I have tested by deactivating all plugins and reverting to a default Theme and Spamshield is the Plugin which causes this crash.

    Hi angelasasser,

    I’m sorry to hear about this issue. I definitely want to look into it. Offhand I can’t imagine how it would cause that, but then that’s why I want to look into it. Can you submit a support request through the WP-SpamShield Support Form? Please install the plugin Send System Info and include that data in your support request. Thank you. If there is an issue in the plugin that will allow me to diagnose and fix it.

    I did some quick Google searches, and it seems that there are a lot of issues with NextGEN Gallery crashing, so I’m not convinced it’s necessarily because of WP-SpamShield. I’ve never heard of any conflict like this between the two before. There may be a configuration issue with your site. If there is, I’ll try to help you fix it. The more info you can provide, that will allow me to better look into it. When I receive your support request through the support page I’ll take a look into things and see what I can do to help.

    I also forgot to link to a specific example of the crash in my support ticket, but I can provide it there as well, if need be.

    Basically when you click the comments icon on the left (the little word balloon), which is also called ‘toggle social bar’, the image just crashes. This only ever happens if WP SpamShield is active.
