Incompatibility with Pimwick WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro

    Hi,

    I am using the plugin “Pimwick WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro” to provide gift card codes for my customers. Since version 2.7.0 of the plugin “Country based Restrictions for WooCommerce ” I have an issue:
    – in the cart the value of the gift card is correctly substracted from the complete value: https://ibb.co/9prTVVS
    – in the checkout however the value is not substracted: https://ibb.co/Kzs14wp

    This behaviour is reproducible. With versions below 2.7.0 everything works fine.

    Could you check? If needed I can provide credentials to a staging site.

    Hi Georg
    CBR just restricts the country for WC products from being added to cart, we will add to our feature list to check for Compatibility with this plugin but
    you should contact the Pimwick WooCommerce Gift Cards plugin developer, I am not sure how this plugin works and this plugin is the one that does the calculations, CBR is not doing anything related to the cart calculations.

    Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I reached out to the plugin developer of the Gift Cards plugin too. Unfortunatelly I did not get an answer yet.

    However: If I just roll back to version 2.6.9 of CBR without any other change in my environment (or disable CBR) the calculation is done correctly again. This means that something changed in CBR. I think in case of an incompatibility between two plugins both parties could look out for a solution and not try to blame the author of the other plugin. Therefore I am greatful that you will add it to your feature list to check this issue.

    Lets start with being positive, I was the one getting back to you fast and I did not blame anyone, I just pointed you that the CBR plugin is not the one that calculates the prices in cart and it might helpful to check with the other plugin developer which extends WooCommerce and adds the functionality which is not working..
    Anyway, we will check the compatibility for future versions.

    Sorry, that turned out wrong obviously: I didn’t mean it negative, on contrary: I appreciate your offer to check it for future versions. I just got too often caught in a blaming ping pong between two developing parties in the past ??
