Incompatibility with Press Permit

When I try to activate the plugin I get a message that there was a fatal error because the function pp_update_option is already defined, I currently have Press Permit active and they define that function, here are the details:

/wp-content/plugins/press-permit-core/pp_load.php:329

Could this be fixed or is there a way to quick fix it? I haven’t looked at the plugin code but I think it would be good to look out for possible incompatibilities with Press Permit since both plugins share the same initials.
