Incompatibility with WordPress 3.8 and SEO by Yoast [Simple Fix Explained]
-
I have spent countless hours trying to figure out the root cause of the errors I have been getting.
I am getting an issue with the XML declaration for my sitemaps. This is caused by this plugin. The root cause actually lies within your
rvg-optimize-db.php
file. This is due to your white-space, or spacing between the breaks in your PHP tags. This is unnecessary, and will cause issues with headers being sent in certain situations. (Such as this). The occurrence isn’t minimal, rather 16 times.
I have corrected this issue just by deleting the blank line between your PHP closing and opening tags.
?> and <?php
WordPress 3.8 tells of this warning as well on enabling the plugin.
Thanks for your understanding! ?? Love the program other than that.
