• Hi!

I have to deactivate the plugins WordPress SEO by Yoast and P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) whenever I change the menu order.

If I don’t switch off WordPress SEO by Yoast, I get a blank page with the URL ending like this:
    /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=menu_editor&noheader=1

If I don’t switch off P3, I get the WP menu etc. but the Menu Editor just doesn’t show up.

That’s quite annoying. Is there a chance to fix this? I think WordPress SEO by Yoast and P3 are pretty popular plugins…

    Thanks!

Sorry, I can’t seem to reproduce either of these incompatibilities. I have installed Admin Menu Editor 1.32, P3 Plugin Performance Profiler 1.5.0 and WordPress SEO 1.5.3.2 on a test site. The menu editor still works fine and saves menu settings without issue.

If I don’t switch off WordPress SEO by Yoast, I get a blank page with the URL ending like this:
    /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=menu_editor&noheader=1

This kind of problem can be caused by PHP errors. If a plugin or theme triggers and error and error display is turned off on your server, all you’ll get is a blank page.

Check your PHP error log for recent messages related to one of the plugins you mentioned. If you don’t know how to view the log, I’d recommend asking your hosting provider about it.

If I don’t switch off P3, I get the WP menu etc. but the Menu Editor just doesn’t show up.

When you say it doesn’t show up, do you mean that the WP menu is the only thing that shows up, or is it that the menu editor toolbar and buttons show up, but the menu items themselves do not?

When the toolbar shows up but the menu items don’t, that usually means there’s a JavaScript error somewhere on the page. Check your browser’s JS console for error messages:

    Thanks for your quick reply!
I sent my provider an email as I really have no clue how to check my PHP error logs…

The WP menu is the only thing that shows up. I have my menu items on the left side, the toolbar on top and the rest is blank. There’s nothing from Menu Editor.

I checked the JS console. When I save the Menu Editor settings, it says (in German):

‘none’ or URL expected, but ‘progid’ found. Error during processing the value for ‘filter’. Declaration ignored. options-general.php:57

Unknown characteristic ‘zoom’. Declaration ignored. options-general.php:43
    (same with options-general.php:73,

Declaration expected, but ‘*’ found. Skipped until next declaration options-general.php:79

Unknown characteristic ‘-moz-border-radius’. Declaration ignored. options-general.php:81

    Unknown characteristic ‘-moz-box-shadow’.Declaration ignored. options-general.php:85

Error during processing the value for ‘box-shadow’. Declaration ignored. options-general.php:86

    etc.pp.

    Does it help?

The WP menu is the only thing that shows up. I have my menu items on the left side, the toolbar on top and the rest is blank. There’s nothing from Menu Editor.

In that case it’s probably not a JavaScript error. If it was, at least some of the menu editor interface would show up.

All of that stuff in the JS console looks like CSS-related warnings. They’re usually non-critical and couldn’t cause a problem like this.

I guess we’ll have to wait for the PHP error logs.

    Hi!
I made a little spring-cleaning in my plugins and found out that the “Admin Menu Tree Page View” plugin was the one that caused the problem. Now it works again: with WordPress SEO by Yoast and P3. Sorry for bothering and thanks a lot for answering so quick!
I really like your plugin. ??
