Incomplete Display

  • For some unknown reason my blog has quit producing a complete display of both the index, individual archive pages and Pages. The only thing displayed is the graphic for the left sidebar, the title of the latest post, no graphic or text in the right sidebar and the header image.

    All sections in the “backend,” i.e. admin functions display correctly the problem only occurs for the “public” portions of the blog.

    Oddly it apparently only occurs on my end. Since the problem started I have received many comments so obviously others have not had a problem accessing the blog.
    O have made no theme changes, checked the htaccess file and noted no changes to it and have also checked the database via CPanel and it shows no database errors.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • i looked in numerous browsers and it’s you… it’s not me. ??
    i have no idea what you could do to fix it, but you are still getting visitors and they can read what you’ve written.

    I agree, I checked IE6, my normal Firefox and Opera and none display on my end but seem to for others.

    Very strange! And a pain in the behind. I can do everything but see what I post or have the ability to comment.

    With luck someone with a similar problem will happen by with the answer.

    after I downloaded the source, and removed the lines causing the encoding issues, I validated the local file..

    you have 51 validation errors on that front page, alone.

    Since the problem only appears on your computer, maybe try clearing out your internet cache, or some kind of forced refresh.

    Otherwise, not sure… your page shows up for me.

    By the way I dig the image headlines font. Although I think your drop-shadow is a little too much shadow, I would move that shadow closer to the letters. Coldforged plugin for headlines, I assume?

    Dgold… headlines are produced via CF’s plugin.

    I’ve cleared the browser cache in all three browsers with no luck, in fact it was one of the first things I tried because it seemed to be a local problem.

    Whooami: I’m aware of the validation errors although they were there prior to the problem starting.

    As I’m not the best at correcting the val problems, if possible and it’s available still could you send the corrected file you have via marc-at-cranialcavity-dot-net
