• Hello,

I ran a quick setup on a Hostgator account a few months ago for my mom’s blog (I set her up with WordPress and hosting for Christmas 2012!). I just moved a series of websites over to a new server instance I created at Amazon Web Services. It’s a regular WordPress installation – it’s NOT a bitnami site.

The issue I’m having is that, though I was able to specify her blog ID in Jetpack Options in the new database, for some reason, I am still unable to locate her list of subscribers, and god knows what else is now missing!

The website is https://www.divinefoodie.com. Her WordPress.com username is akallyoops. When I disconnected Jetpack on her old site, I’m positive the site got lost in the ether. I have the blog IDs available to share if necessary.

Please let me know what I need to do. I believe the new installation created a new blog ID and it’s not linking fully up with the old Jetpack. I’m now between blog IDs would it be better to have someone link Jetpack with the new blog ID or should I try to gerry-rig it in phpMyAdmin?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

  • Hi!

If you could provide me with those blog ids, I should be able to fix it up for you. Thanks!

    Thanks Richard!

The blog IDs are as follows.

    The OLD blog ID is:
    48327083

    the NEW blog ID is:
    44800667

I’ve replaced the NEW blog ID with the OLD in the jetpack-options field in wp_options to load the stats. Let me know which ID I should commit to and I’ll fix my code accordingly.

    Thanks a million!

    Hi!

Ok, so please disconnect and reconnect Jetpack, everything should be good to go once you’ve done that. Let me know once it’s done so I can double-check on our end. Thanks!

    Hello Richard!

The subscribers still appear to be missing, but I did swap the Jetpack record in wp_options over to 44800667 and the stats re-appeared, so it looks like something worked. Any chance we would get those Subscribers back? There were only 13 but she doesn’t want to start anew if possible.

Thanks a million for your help and support!

    Hi,

I see the subscribers with the current blog_id here:

    https://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?blog=44800667&blog_subscribers&type=email

So it looks to be ok.

I’d suggest not changing things in the DB if it happens again, because we need to modify things on our end as well. ??

    Hi there,

Looks like we’re having the same issue again.

I disconnected JetPack (deactivated the plugin) because the visual editor is broken. This was one of the advised methods to repair.

In the process, we lost the blog ID in the JetPack. Why does it not let you just select the blog ID in your .com account?

Nonetheless, the .com account is [redacted] . As for the blogs there, there are two and I have no way of determining which one is correct. THough I believe it’s the one that has the fewer posts but more comments and one page, as opposed to the one which has more posts but no comments or pages.

    Thanks,
    -Eric
