    Hello,

I installed WordFence a few days ago on the website I am building and it was working perfectly.

Today I changed my website from http to https. Since then, when I try to scan manually, the scan starts then it stops after a few minutes, incomplete.

    I uninstalled/reinstalled WordFence but this didn’t help.

For info, I made the change from http to https manually, without using a plugin.

Could you help me fix this issue? I’d really like to be able to use WordFence.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

I forgot to add (in case it’s important) that my install is a multisite and I enabled WordFence from the network dashboard.

    Hello,
Could you please enable “Debug Mode” from (Wordfence > Tools => Diagnostics), then run a new scan and share the last 20 lines from the scan activity log? you can use “Pastbin” to share these lines.

    Thanks.

    Hello,
    Thanks for your response ??
I did what you said. Here are the last 20 lines from the scan activity log:
    https://pastebin.com/ctNEdCFP

Please go to (Wordfence > Tools => Diagnostics) and click on “Send Report by Email” button at the top of the page, you can send the report to “alaa [at] wordfence [dot] com”, make sure to include your forum username, I will take a look at this report and let you know my findings.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
I just did as you said.
    Cheers,
    Fran

    Hi Fran,
Ar you sure the scan hangs with this line as the last line in the scan activity log?
SUM_START:Scanning for unknown files in wp-admin and wp-includes

Did you check the server error log for any relevant error message at the same time?

Also, try to disable other installed plugins -temporarily- and increase the “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT” to something like 256MB, then run a new scan.

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.

    Hi Alaa,
Thank you for keeping up with me.

    – I just disabled all plugins but WordFence
    – I made the memory limit 256MB in wp-config
    – I ran a new scan and it got uncomplete again.

For the scan activity log, I am not sure what is needed since last in time seems to be first on page… So I give you this:
The lines at the top of the activity log page
    https://pastebin.com/AWjr30rW
The lines at the bottom of the activity log page
    https://pastebin.com/WpjwLgzA

Error log on server: I am not used to check that. I found this:

    Raw logs: /hpo-lab.org/osl/error/
    2017-Jul-06 19:57

    [Thu Jul 06 19:28:41 2017] [error] [client 80.201.145.140] [host https://www.hpo-lab.org] FastCGI: server “/homez.85/hpolaborwa/www/wp-admin/network/plugins.php” stderr: PHP message: [DEBUG] : running wpo_cron_deactivate(), referer: https://www.hpo-lab.org/wp-admin/network/plugins.php

    I hope this help…

Due to this error message I see in the scan activity log:
Error finishing writing value for wfsd_engine (MySQLi error: [1118] The size of BLOB/TEXT data inserted in one transaction is greater than 10% of redo log size. Increase the redo log size using innodb_log_file_size.)

I think you will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase “innodb_log_file_size” for you.

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.
