Inconsistencies In Notification

Inconsistencies like this are frequently due to server policies. The first thing to check though is that Subscribe2 and WordPress are generating the emails as you’d expect. If this is the case you can then raise this with your hosting provider with some robust evidence.

So, first thing it so install and activate a mail logging plugin in WordPress, either of these will do:

Then keep an eye on when emails are expected, what appears in the log and what actually sends. If the emails appear in the log but don’t arrive it’s a blocking policy on the server. If they are not generated then it’s likely a configuration issue in Subscribe2.

Something like that is worth a try certainly but if there are server side limitations you are running into this approach is not guaranteed to help, but it might if it invokes some level of authentication.
