I’m not even sure where to start.

I was asked to create something like this:
    https://allamericanbuildings.com/design-tool

You have a barn/shed, different attributes and variations for each one like style, size, color, flooring, etc.

Select an option, see a real-time render in 3D.

Any suggestions for the best place to start with a WP site and this request?

I found IdeaRoomInc.com but was hoping to lean on the community for more ideas or solutions.

I was thinking I could do a primitive version of it using Gravity Forms and conditional logic but am really hoping some experts out there could assist.

Thank you in advance, sincerely, for any and all help offered!

I think if the client has asked for you to develop something like this :
    https://allamericanbuildings.com/design-tool

and you come back with a solution built from Gravity Forms, then they are not going to be happy!

Why don’t you just get a quote from the same company who built the functionality at allamericanbuildings.com ??

Have them develop it, you add on your fee to the cost and you just manage the project for your client.

Thank you for your time. I didn’t want to leave a long post but I didn’t explain well enough; I did not intend for the Gravity Form to be a solution in regards to being similar, was going to use it for drop down variations and attributes to calculate a total. I could also use WooCommerce.

I’ve inquired with some companies that do this specifically but was curious if any brilliant WP’ers out there might have had another take on it.

I appreciate your help, thank you.

    Hi @hockeyhero4

As much as I hate WooCommerce, I think it may be a “better” solution than Gravity, only bc you would get really caught up in accommodating for all the different variations.
It might turn into a convoluted mess with Gravity, while WooC should be able to handle it better.

    What’s wrong with idearoominc.com ?
    It looks awesome.

IdeaRoom is my main solution to be proposed but I like to approach my clients with a high budget and low budget solution in case “the right way” is out of their price range.

I was thinking Woocommerce originally but I like the conditional logic of Gravity Forms.

I think the low-end solution will be woocommerce and the high-end solution being idea room.

I really appreciate your input on this.

Well ………….. based on my experience, I would personally not take this on as a one off project to deliver to the client. There are a lot of different variables, and a lot of input, and the client will ask for stuff that is difficult to deliver, then you’ll hack together a solution that needs to be maintained, and etc etc etc etc etc etc.

I don’t know your experience, so all I’m saying is this is my own opinion. You may be opening up a can of worms long term. Like when clients ask me if they can upload all their .mp4s to their website so visitors can stream them, and I’m like Uh No. Use vimeo. Lol.

I would get different solutions from different companies.
It’s an interesting project you have tho. ??

    Just my 2 cents

I’m months late to the discussion at this point, but my company built the tool you referenced in your original post. We would have been happy to work with you on getting something similar to what we did for All American. There are lots of ways to integrate with various platforms, provide real-time pricing etc. We also have a product for larger scale metal buildings. Thanks!
