I recently changed my site’s domain name but Yoast continues to show the old domain in rel canonical URL of every post on the site. I had to disable the Yoast plugin to let WordPress serve the correct canonical link, but I do want the Yoast plugin back.

I have already tried deactivating and reinstalling the plugin but that didn’t help. Is there any way to force yoast to use the new domain in canonical URL.

  • Hi @shivy23,

Thank you for reaching out, we are sorry you are running into this.

Can you please try resetting the indexables using the Yoast Test Helper plugin.

In order to do so, please take the following steps:
    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin?
    2. On your WordPress admin page, go to Tools -> Yoast Test
?3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button?
    4. Try the ‘Speed up your site now’ again via the Yoast SEO -> Tools menu

Thanks. The “Reset indexables & migrations” option in the helper plugin solved the issue.
