Incorrect event title when month/day view is default view

  • When I set the default view to month view all single event pages got the title “Events in <<month>> <<year>>” instead of the title of the requested event.

    The same issue applies to the day view as default view. Then the title becomes “Events in <<date>>” instead of the title of the event.

    When I set the default view to “List” the issue does not appear and the actual event title is displayed instead.

    Yes, we’re aware that our plugin has some inconsistent meta titles for the calendar views; we have been able to reproduce the problem and have identified a potential fix.

    I have added this thread to our internal ticket. While we don’t have an ETA, you’ll get notified on this thread once there is an update and fix.

    With our latest release of?The Events Calendar 6.1.0, we resolved an issue regarding inconsistent meta titles for the calendar views.

    We recommend that you update The Events Calendar to the latest released versions.?As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup ready, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you can remove them after updating the plugins.
