@azorvida Thanks for reporting. To try and get connected can you try resetting Site Kit and then deleting the plugin in full before installing once more?

If you encounter the same error again please inform me at what stage you notice this error and share your Site Health information.

@ckrotter Thanks for informing us, hopefully we can assist. So we can investigate this further would you be able to open your own individual WordPress support topic as per WordPress support forum guidelines?

We can then look into your case. Please include your Site Kit information or any console errors which you encounter in the details.

I have a similar issue. The message I get is: invalid language tag: “de-DE_formal”

    Hi,

it seems the german translation de_DE_formal causing this issue. I had the same problem on different sites. After changing the language settings to from “Deutsch (Sie)” to Deutsch, the error was gone.

@azorvida In order to assist in troubleshooting this issue can you paste the following command into your browser console and paste the results here? You’ll find some assistance here.
    copy({siteKitLocale: googlesitekit.locale[""], browserLocale: navigator.language})

@ckrotter @kuppelofen1 If you could do the same and open an individual support topic that would be super useful. I’ve also created a GitHub issue whereby you can share any findings there, but please open a new support topic so we can keep track of your case specifically.

@dwolke Many thanks for the input, very useful. I’ll add those notes to the related GitHub support topic.

@azorvida we’ve released version 1.7.0 which should resolve the issue. Could you update and let us know if the error goes away?

Google Site Kit is not working at all – reauthentification NOT possilble.

Result: we do not have time to work with undeveloped plugins and delete Google site-kit from our page.

@azorvida Sorry to hear you’ve been encountering further issues. There are some troubleshooting steps on the plugins website, which may assist with any re-authentication issues, although I understand if you don’t wish to process troubleshooting further.

If you would like further assistance please share your Site Health information and we may be able to identify any factor which may be impacting setup.

Alternatively no problem if you would like me to close this support topic if you prefer.

@azorvida As we didn’t receive a response I will mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues.
