Incorrect Number of Comments

Hello everyone. I just noticed an oddity that I can’t figure out. I deleted a comment from one of my posts a while back, but the “overview” display still claims that there is a comment on that post. When you go to the post itself, there are no comments shown and it does NOT indicate that any comments exist. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Might it simply be a bug in the WordPress code? The comment itself does not exist in the database at all (it was emptied entirely from the trash bin).

You can see the issue on the following pages. The title for the post in question is “WordPress-to-Facebook Automated Selective Posting” (21 Jan 2010). The incorrect number shows up on the “list” page as well as the category and tag pages:

I have confirmed that the issue is not related to the theme in any way. I tried three different themes and the problem exists in all three cases. So it has something to do with my database or with the WordPress base software. Any suggestions? Thanks!
