Google is outputting the incorrect product image in google search and google image search. Instead of outputting the main product image, it outputs the image that comes from the APF plugin. (Google shopping is fine, because this info comes from a different xml feed). When I look at the Yoast schema markup, the correct image is being outputted there, but somewhere along the line, google decides to show the APF image instead. I have the Yoast sitemap in place for Google as well.

    Hello @sabineblume

I’m sorry about the delay in getting back to you. One of the schemas that we output is the?primaryImageofPage?schema type. This is the featured image that you set for your product/post/page. Then Google uses it as the image to output in the thumbnail in the mobile search results.

While we add this schema, it’s still up to Google whether they want to output it as a rich result. Since the Yoast SEO plugin generates the schema markup as expected, I recommend contacting Google for further assistance by posting on their forum –?https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/webmasters.
