Incorrect use of _n()
-
Hi,
When I tried to contribute translations to this plugin, I found a string that will create problems.
It seems to be coded with _n() as such:
Singular: “Animation”; Plural: “AnimationEnd”_n() should only be used to allow grammatically correct translations of strings that contain a count of something.
Example: There’s %d apple in the basket. // There are %d apples in the basket.
Depending on the number, in some languages this kind of string will have more than 2 versions. And a few languages don’t change any words depending on the number, and they’ll provide only one single translation for a _n() pair.
If you want more details, please ask here, or come to our channel “polyglots” in Slack and ask. We’re happy to help.
