  • I have no idea whether it’s the widget or the source, but I can tell you what is happening. When the weather updates every hour or so (the default), it is pulling the current temp at my location, and it is pulling the HOURLY forecast temp for the next 3 days (or however many days you have set in the options). So at noon, my widget shows it is 65 F, and the forecast id H 67 L 47 today, Weds 68 Thurs 65 etc. Well when I check again at 3pm. it shows current temp at 57F, forecast for Wed 60F, Thurs 50F etc. These correspond almost exactly to the hourly forecast temps on other major weather services, but not the daily highs and lows.

I just looked at the API’s I’m calling and on my end everything seems to be ok. I’m calling the extended forecast API and grabbing the ‘temp’ for the ‘day’.

The openweathermap data is free and gathered from various sources, so I can imagine that for some locations it could probably be wrong. Please know that on my end everything appears to be correct.

Many requests to use other data sources have come in and is something I hope to get done one day.

I also have a problem with wrong data in my beautiful Awesome Weather Plugin. You can check it out on https://www.thefasthost.eu/captain/ (The website is not live yet, it is due to go live next week).

The two problems I see are:
    – High temperature (H) is always tha same as Low temperature (L)
    – The temperature show for the next 5 days is the low (L) temperature instead of the high (H).

Could you let me know if I am the only one encountering this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Alex

    @greencorfu – I have the same problem.

    Hi Hal!

Please have another look at it. The website is now live at https://www.captaincorfu.gr and I am getting problems with the client….

    Merry Christmas!

Great widget. I upgraded to Pro so I could use Yahoo weather, but the info. being displayed by the plugin does not match 4 day forecast that I see on Yahoo Weather for my location.
Open Weather seemed inaccurate and I’d like to use Yahoo Weather, but I think maybe I’m getting the settings wrong?
I selected Yahoo in the Plugin settings. I did not set an OpenWeatherMaps APPID.
Then, under Appearance>Widgets, I selected “Use User Location”, and I provided a WOEID (2448929, Medford, Oregon 97504).
However, when I load the site, the weather does not match Yahoo Weather for my location (it shows temps in the high 70’s and 80’s, but Yahoo Weather says 60’s/mid 70’s clouds and rain) and still seems inaccurate. I cleared the cache in case that was the problem. Any trick to the settings? If not, any way to get the OpenWeatherMap info. to be more accurate?

I am also having the same problem. When I use the option to display stats, the widget is showing the weather forecast for the 5th day out. (in this case heavy rains, when it’s a gloriously sunny day and sun predicted for the next 3 days)

The widget is picking up the wrong day forecast. I like the look of this widget, as it fits right into my site, but can you please check on it. Obviously there’s quite a few of us who are having an issue and possibly the rest of us are sleeping through it LOL

Widget is located at https://www.longislandwebpage.com. Right now I have the stats turned off, because I dont want people to think we’re nuts! But I can turn them on so you can see the problem

Thanks for any help you can give.
