Is there a way to increase the height of the WP editor window? I find it too small in height at only 300px

Grab the lower right corner and drag it down.

I want to emphasize that my statement that the standard wordpress editor has no problem IS NOT TRUE.( see my comment by WP EDIT plugin)
I checked again on an other website THE STANDARD WP EDITOR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM no adjustment of the vertical height.
I checked the css and noted that the style loaded from the wp-admin folder showed

resize:none if I change that in the browser to vertical the adjustment is back.

    This a wordpress problem.

@mocha365: You have an identical thread in the WP Edit plugin forum. If you’re still using that plugin, please continue with that thread; otherwise we’ll keep this one open.

I added my comment here because it is not a WP edit plugin problem.
I don’t know how to close my comment under the WP Edit plugin.

Are you using the “regular” editor or a plugin that enhances/replaces it? Color me confused!

    Hi,
I deactivated the WP Edit plugin and I am using now the regular wordpress editor.

So you can either drag the lower right corner to expand the editor or enable “distraction free” editing (which I find more distracting, but that’s another story).

Yes I know how to do it , but the point is it does not work anymore.
You don’t see the lines in the corner anymore.

Hey, it’s gone now. When did they do that? But I see that it expands vertically to keep up with me.

English is not my native language, but are you saying that you can adjust the editor height vertically.
    I checked it again .
The result is I can not adjust the editor height.

    I viewed your link.
In additional settings I only see Enable distraction free functionality , not Enable full height editor.
I unchecked Enable distraction free and now I can adjust the vertical height of the editor.

On all of my 12 websites I think that enable distraction free is checked , I never had in 7 years this problem.
    So something has changed recently.

Anyhow I never use distraction free so this solution works.
Now I am going to check my other websites.
    Thanks

@stephencottontail we can leave this one intact and forget the other one. Thanks.

@sterndata I’ve tried the default editor, the WP Editor plugin, and a couple others…same problem of trying to change the height. The WP Editor plugin has a setting to change the height, but it doesn’t work anymore. Distraction free works, but the editor still cannot be resized.

But I do see now (which escaped me) that the more content you add, the more height the editor expands.

As @wimgbax tried, I did this too and now I am able to drag the editor down for more height.
