    I have noticed a step change in my bounce rate, it has gone from an average of 25% over a 30 day period to about 80% over a similar period. i am investigating why i am experiencing this increase.

    I have recently started adding more content after a period of not working on my site for several months. When came back I updated all the plugins and themes, dealt with any notifications, etc. One task was to rerun the wizard for Complianz.

    I wanted to check that I hadn’t done anything with the configuration during my updates, I can’t see anything obvious

    The bounce rate increase seems to be across all pages, total page views are slightly down as I suspect users are not going on to further pages so I am losing these interactions. I have seen a slight increase in views of my cookie policy page, which is what made me want to check my cookie banner settings.

    Hi @mikesoulby,

    The first thing that I would highly recommend starting with, is to update your version of Complianz to the latest available version (6.2.4).

    The site in question currently uses v5.1.3, and it has therefore missed out on quite a number of updates, which could also apply to the Analytics integrations specifically.

    If the behavior seems to persist after updating (and clearing/purging cache in your optimization plugins), let us know and we’d be glad to take another look.

    Thank you for your reply. The update from 5.1.3 to 6.2.4 was not shown in my WordPress plugins update page, which is why it wasn’t updated. I have deactivated the old version and installed the new, and will now need to reconfigure again. Also how do I transfer my premium single site licence to the new version?

    Hi @mikesoulby,

    We’re solely allowed to discuss the Free plugin on these forums, although as it’s the same website, you should be able to simply re-enter the License Key in the plugin on your website under Complianz > Settings > License.
