Increased access to sitemaps

Hi,

we have found that we got an increased access to all types of sitemap:

• page-sitemap.xml
• post-sitemap.xml
• post_tag-sitemap.xml
• category-sitemap.xml
• sitemap_index.xml

Yesterday up to the point we deactivated the sitemap and tomorrow after we activated yoast sitemap you can see the increased access (which brokes the site and different websites on our shared server):

After deactivating sitemaps in Yoast the problems (error in database connection and increased access) disappear.

Do you have any idea how to solve the problem except deactivating the sitemap or do you have any other idea?

Also we activated the Under Attack Mode from Cloudflare.
