    Hi all

I have a WordPress table on my website and I just want to alter the width of one of the columns but can’t seem to find an option?

I have tried inserting a blank column in between two existing ones, creating more space that way, but it doesn’t seem to look any different.

The table works great other than this. I’m sure I’m missing something glaringly obvious!

    Thank you.
    Louise

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

This is a bit tricky in your case, as the (comparably) long words in the table already require a large part of the available content width.

The approach with the extra column might be the most feasible here, indeed. To make it work, you’ll just need one extra thing: Content in that extra column. This can be as easy as forced/non-breaking space characters. For that, add e.g.

into the first cell of the extra/empty column.

A better solution could be possible if you put the program name (like “Word”) under the corresponding icon, instead of into the column next to it.

    Regards,
    Tobias
