• Hello,

I’m having a problem that seems to have been discussed a lot already. I’m trying to upload a pdf to my blog, but its 75 MB and wordpress only allows 2 MB.

I’ve tried to copy and past people’s solutions in different places.

    I tried pasting this into my php.ini file: upload_max_filesize = 75M

    It didn’t do anything.

I tried fooling around with the .htaccess stuff. But that did work either. I’m in a little over my head here.

    This is my website: https://www.journalismadventures.com

The error message I get is:
“This file exceeds the maximum upload size for this site.”

    My .htaccess file is empty.

My php.ini file has some weird zend_extension stuff in it, but nothing about a upload limit.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  • The max file upload in not really a wordpress thing.

Is like you said a php or server issue if you already changed your php.init file and your .htaccess file you may have to get in contact with your hosting provider and ask them about the max upload limit.

I am having the same issue. I called my host, had them up my limit, but still not being able to upload larger than 2mgs. Help all the threads are closed without resolution.
